The squeeze
The squeeze is a useful way to annoy your opponent and make an extra trick or two. You need to be able to count the cards in order to play a squeeze as it usually occurs during the end game.
Look at the hand below.
You are South and it is your lead. You need to make the last 3 tricks to make your no trump contract.
Have a think. How would you go about it?

To squeeze your opponent, lead the Ace of clubs.
If West discards the Ace of spades, you discard your jack of diamonds from dummy and make the ace of diamonds and the king of spades.
If West discards a diamond, you discard your king of spades and make your 2 diamonds.
Deal out the cards to yourself and give it a go. Try leading different cards from different hands and see the results.
