Cheating

Cheating is not normally regarded as appropriate behaviour in bridge. Examples of cheating which should not be followed are:

  • fixing the deal to get good cards
  • winking at your partner to get the right lead
  • peeking at other players' cards
  • kicking your partner under the table
  • kicking your opponent under the table
  • stroking your chin while murmuring, "This is a very interesting hand", then passing
  • distracting your opponents by coming to the table naked
  • flirting with your opponent's partner
  • going on and on and on about Justin Bieber
  • claiming your opponents have weapons of mass destruction
  • playing with just 51 cards and claiming economic austerity measures

this list is not 'quite' definitive
