Rols Sperling - my credentials

I see this site as a bridge-wiki. I will take advice and help from anyone who can demonstrate improvements. I'm not precious about the bridge starter system and am happy to change and adapt it as experience dictates.

I love bridge but I'm not particularly good at the game, if truth be known.

I played bridge for my school and represented Suffolk, once, on a lower table and lost. I got my place by making up the numbers rather than through skill.

If anyone wants to help me with any aspect of the site, I will almost certainly say a big 'Yes'.

I have had packs of job and life experience including (virtually in order):

School lollipop seller, paper boy, door to door salesboy, factory worker, silk screen printer, soldier, trainee projectionist, cleaner, backstage roady, office junior, messenger, political activist, postman, shop worker, warehouseman, newsagent deputy manager, nightshift bakery worker, landlord (1), civil servant (1-many), trainer,  fundraiser, hawker-licensed door to door salesman, barman, bar manager, waiter, restaurant manager, restaurant owner, landlord (2-many), commis chef, head chef, night porter, car parts delivery man, civil servant (2-many plus loads), care worker, founder of successful international publishing company, magistrate.

I am half English half Dutch. As a mature student, I got a theology/philosophy degree. I have made my home in the country, towns and cities. I am a poet and philosopher. Non-sobriety is my specialist subject. I am one of five siblings. I have five children, three grandsons and am disposed to a unique view of the world, in common with virtually everyone.

I am also worryingly keen to finish this sentence with an and.

And start this sentence with an and, and continue with an and, and end with an ad
